Blunt Blonde

Blog By Keva Doyle

Morning lovelies, sorry I have been MIA but I really needed to take some pressure off myself blog wise with everything that has gone on over the last few weeks and I know you all understand with all your lovely messages so a big thank you for those. Losing someone you love is a very hard thing, even though we knew it was coming you can never be prepared for it. I was straight back to NYC for work after only three days at home and then this weekend I headed to Montauk with some friends and honestly it was exactly what I needed. It wasn't planned so it was a last minute adventure and these are the trips that usually turn out to be the best. We laughed until we cried, did yoga on the beach, tucked into amazing food and drinks and just had fun.
This look is one I shot a few weeks back but only getting around to sharing it with you guys now. I love this setting, the dreamiest of garden settings and you know I cant get enough of stripes so I'm excited to share it with you. I particularly loved the colors in this playsuit but I also included a few of my recent faves for you guys to check out.
Currently I am in Boston and you can follow along on what I am getting up to while I am here on my Instagram.

Happy Hump day.

Happy Friday guys, I am currently in Denver, Colorado and was in Los Angeles earlier in the week. It had been so long since I had been in LA and I'm already planning a return visit, there is so much I want to see and new eateries I want to check out. There is such a cool vibe there, it was a flying visit and last minute one for me as I was there with work but I definitely got bitten by the LA bug and will be heading back soon. I headed out super early to shoot some looks - an ungodly hour when the sun was just coming up!
This blazer I stumbled across in Zara when I was home, it was on sale and I loved the color and floral pattern. I love when you buy a new piece and then you can pull an outfit together by teaming it with other items you already have in your wardrobe and this is exactly what happened here.
This little powder blue bucket bag I bought in Greece last May in a local boutique, it is the perfect blue bag and I love this style.

I am staying in Denver this weekend with work and still recovering from the whirlwind week which was Miami Swim week. Hope you guys have some nice plans for the weekend.

Happy Friday lovelies, I got back to Miami quite late on Tuesday night and was straight back into work and Swim Week events. I can't believe the weekend is here already and it is going to be a jam packed one, I have a mix of shows and events this weekend which I can't wait for. Last night we went to two events and this is what I wore. I eventually got a Gingham top, this trend has been everywhere this Summer and you know I have a weakness for off the shoulder tops.
You know at this stage when I am in Miami I wear a lot of white and this little pair of tailored white shorts have gotten plenty of use over the last few weeks.
We went to two events, grabbed some Sushi in one of my favorites and got home. I have a busy day in work today so couldn't have had a late night. You can see more of what we got up to over on my Instastories.

Have a great weekend.

This phrase sometimes scares people, but I think in a positive way. I like being put out of my comfort zone and finding my way again. It definitely was a challenge moving to a new job, in a new country without having the safety net of my boyfriend, family and friends but I knew what I was going to and I was looking forward to it. Being out of your comfort zone makes you have a change in attitude, well it gives you the choice to have a change in attitude. It is like everything, you get into a routine and honestly it is great to shake things up every now and then. Sure, you can just sit at home and not go out and experience what this new place has to offer or else you can adventure and explore which is what I have done and really I think it has helped me settle into Miami life really well. The blog has been such an amazing asset to me over there and has opened up a whole circle of friends which I don't think I would have made without it.
I am going to do a bigger post, a more in depth review of life in Miami in the coming months so this is just a snippet to how I think you need to go about a move. Last night we went for dinner to Juniors one of my favourite restaurants in Dublin and it was divine as usual.

Happy Hump day lovelies! What is more relaxing than hanging in a hammock amongst palm trees? My answer is nothing except perhaps I was missing a cocktail in my hand! It is nice being back home but I am working so I am not on vacation and feels more like I have stepped back into my normal routine here in Dublin which feels a little funny when I know I am getting on a plane next week to head back to Miami. Going away to a new city definitely makes you yearn for more at home.
When I return to Miami it is Miami Swim Week so it will be jam packed and a nice few days of events to get back for. You guys know at this stage I am a sucker for stripes so as well as linking this dress I have also linked some of my current stripey favourites for you guys to browse through.

I am also working on a wedding guest attire blog post as it is a question that keeps being asked so thought you guys would appreciate a post.

Have a lovely day.
