Bows & Boots

I love skirts but don't get the chance to wear them all that much in the Winter months as my automatic outfit default is jeans which needs to change but they are a staple in everybody's wardrobe. We were so lucky to have the sun shining at the weekend although it was still very cold.

The Perfect House Guest!

Hi Guys, sorry I am so late with my post today but I had my first Christmas party last night and lets just say it was a good night,  and I am feeling a little tender. The next two weeks are jam packed with festive parties and events and I thought it would be good to share a few ideas for gifts to bring to someones house. It is always such a nice gesture when someone brings something to my house and I think it is a must when attending a party, I am not saying you have to bring a bottle of champagne if you are popping in on a normal day but for a party some type of gesture needs to be made. Check out my gift suggestions below. Click Here to Read More

Window Shopping

Once the Christmas windows are revealed the magic of Christmas begins. I love seeing all of the Christmas Windows and have a few favourites this year. Avoca on Suffolk Street is definitely one at the top of my list. They have gone for a classic whimsical look with traditional style lampposts and bright red boxes being delivered by a classic bike.

The Sweet Side of Life

I am really more of a savoury girl but occasionally love to tuck into some of the sweeter things in life and wanted to try Scrumdiddlys  since the Summer. So we eventually got out to try it, I love all of the colours they have used as you really get that Willy Wonka feel as you enter. The place was filled to the brim with kids who were so excited to be there. The sweet selection is immense, as you can see from my pictures! Click here to Read More

Ladies Who Lunch

As promised Kilkenny Part Two is here, I must admit this change in weather has me feeling a little run down that is also probably due to the lack of sleep over the weekend but looking at these pictures cheers me up. After spending most of our morning in the forest all of us were a little cold with numb feet and looking for somewhere to warm up and relax and where is better than in a gorgeous hotel with a fabulous setting.Read more

Clay Pigeon Shooting!

This weekend we had a girls trip to Kilkenny and although our plans mostly consisted of eating and drinking we had organized to go clay pigeon shooting which was so fun (they were all clays and no real birds were hit for all you vegetarians). We all got our tweed, Barbour's, chelsea boots and anything we thought that was clay shooting appropriate and headed off for the day. Read More

Fall Staple - Over The Knee Boots

I know I am constantly talking about my favourite wardrobe essentials for the Autumn and Winter months but I am yet to discuss the much loved OTK as it has become known as. I have been a fan of the over the knee boot since I laid my eyes on a pair of Michael Kors ones years ago. They were pricey at the time but they still look great and I am still getting compliments on them four years later. For the past two years I have been determined to get my hands on the 5050 Stuart Weitzman boots and when we were in London I got an early Birthday present :) I skipped out of the shop like a child and I am not going to lie I was partly in shock.

Multicolour Tweed

There is nothing quite like a Winter coat and as we wear them from October to March they are definitely worth the investment. This coat is absolutely fab and is perfect for general day wear but I thought it was especially fitting for some Winter Horse racing. It is a classic cut but I have mixed it with my on trend ripped jeans and this racing green top from Zara which I love.

Hay Stack Fun!

Good morning everyone, how was your weekend? For me Monday seemed to come around very quickly, maybe that was due to our three day weekend last week, in any case I am already thinking about next weekend, we have a girls trip planned when 12 of us will descend on Kilkenny for two nights. But first I wanted to share this outfit post with you. I know I had a plaid post last week but what can I say, I love it. This is also a completely different look and a great one for the Fall season.

This is my last post from our weekend in London but I have already planned another trip, that's what happens when you go to London it always leaves you wanting more and I am so excited about going back for New Years. Bob Bob Ricard is a restaurant I had been meaning to try for I would say two years and eventually we tried it out.

A Gem in Grosvenor Square

I am always on the hunt for good food and not at exorbitant prices and I found a fantastic deal in Gordon Ramsays Maze in Grosvenor Square. It was a warm Autumn Sunday and we were both starving after skipping breakfast (not something I would advise) and were excited about trying it out.

Chelsea Boots!

I had geared up for Autumn in London and we arrived to a heatwave, the coats go out the door as a sweater is suffice.I love this new little sweater I got, it is cosy but I especially love the little buttons on the back. I had spotted this before heading to new York but I was still feeling the Summer vibe and wasn't ready to let go, but now Autumn is here and in full force I decided it was going in my suitcase.

Lobster in London

I now what you are all thinking, Lobster - well that's not going to be a cheap meal, but Burger and Lobster offer amazing food and the bill is not that crazy. London is known for being expensive but Dublin is really not that far behind it. You have to forget about the currency exchange when you are there and just enjoy it!

London Day One!

A weekend in London is always something I love. Having lived there for just under a year after leaving University it gave me an opportunity to get to know London and I love going back as it is familiar but there is always so much to see and do. I made sure to get the early flight so that we got in just for time for brunch. After dropping off our bags we headed to the Wolseley to feast on eggs Benedict and have a good old catch up. It really is a British landmark in London for old school splendour, the interiors are breathtakingly gorgeous.

Sushi with Susie

Have you ever felt that you are not in the mood to cook, don't want to dress up, want to be in the comfort of your own home with your feet up but you don't want the the food to be complete and utter grease. (Although , I am one for the cheeky hungover Dominos if I am feeling particularly bad) Well I have the answer for you, Michie Sushi! My friend Susie and I were feeling in the mood for something healthy and decided we would try it out. It has been on my list for a while as I have heard only amazing things and no we didn't just try it so that Sushi rhymed with Susie, this just happened I promise!

The Fall Staple

Hi Everyone, sorry for being so late with putting up a post this week. It has been a bit crazy, but this weekend I am heading to London so I am seriously excited. In the mean time I wanted to share this post with you. There are a few fall staples but at the top of everyone's list is a hat.

You have got to be a Queen to get away with a hat like that.
Anita Loos: 1925  Gentlemen Prefer Blondes.

They are the perfect accessory to add that little bit of drama to an outfit and can even help conceal a bad hair day. I feel that they really finish off an outfit and allow you have a little bit of fun with what you are wearing, it definitely is an injection of personality and style. One of my posts from last week even featured a hat! Check that post out here!

My most loved are the fedora because that's what I feel suits me best but my sister is more of a wide brim floppy hat lover so it really depends on what you feel best in.

Black on Black

Morning everyone! How are you all today? I am not going to lie, I am feeling a little worse for wear, we had a few too many G&Ts last night at a friends leaving drinks and as I am writing this the hangover headache is kicking in, slowly but surely. It is Friday and everyone has the weekend on their brain. I am sure all you ladies are thinking about your outfits for this weekends activities. I wanted to share this outfit with you that I wore for dinner last weekend. I absolutely love this jacket and it is one of my all time favourite pieces and it is one I will never part with. The detail is gorgeous and it is so different, my  Mum found it in Topshop and surprised me with it about three years ago and I still love it. It is hard to find pieces you don't tire of over time and when you have one, it really is a keeper.

Sunday Market Fun!

Morning everyone, how was your weekend? Mine was actually jam packed with things I love. I went down the country on Friday but was back up in time to meet the girls and head to the People's Park in Dunlaoghaire for the Sunday market. We were all feeling a little worse for wear so it was nice to get out and blow off the cobwebs and of course get some grub. We meandered around the stalls seeing what smelled and looked the best, there was so much choice we wanted to try a bit of everything!

A Spot of Wild Goose

It is Friday and I am excited to be heading away for the weekend but wanted to share this post with you first. We have all experienced saying goodbye to a friend, whether they were traveling around the world for a year or moving for a job and although it is so common in Ireland it doesn't get any easier saying goodbye. Yes, it is fantastic that we all have mobiles and we are not depending on a pigeon to deliver a letter but whatsapp and skype are not quite the same as hanging out in person. A good friend of mine got offered the job of her dreams and although I didn't want to see her leave I was so excited for her. Now that is the end of my sappy post and onto the food. The week before she left we decided to grab a lunch together and have a proper catch up. The Wild Goose in Ranelagh is somewhere I have been for lunch and was very impressed with it. It is not michelin star, but that's not what it's aiming to be, it is good bistro food with attentive service and friendly staff. We decided to kick off our lunch with a glass of bubbly, it always adds something special to an occasion and we were celebrating after all!

Leopard Lovers!

Morning all, how was your weekend? Mine was filled with sheer piggery, we went from one food activity to the next and tonight I will be hitting the gym to try and burn it off. We tried out a new place for brunch in Dublin which I will be sharing with you but first a little on my outfit. Autumn is a time I love, not as much as Summer but I do love the different patterns and warm tones that the Autumn season brings. One thing I love is leopard print, it's not everyone's cup of tea and was largely associated with Bet Lynch from Coronation Street and that is not a compliment! It can look cheap and far from chic, the key point to make is that it only ever looks good in moderation. In my opinion the only time an overload of leopard is allowed is for Halloween when you are dressing up as a lady of the night!!

Ox Blood Jeans

It is the 1st of October and Autumn is upon us. We can see a shift in the colours that we wear and will be wearing for the next few months. We bid farewell to the bright pieces of Summer 2014 and see the usual shades of black, brown and grey takeover our wardrobe. These classic colours will always feature in every Autumn / Winter collection as they are irreplaceable and classic, but it is great to introduce some colour into your wardrobe for the A/W season. At the top of my list are bottle green, all shades of brown especially those caramel tones, blush pink and the rich colour of ox blood.

The Girl and The Goat!

Morning everyone, I hope you all had a fab weekend. I am still uploading photos from our trip and have a few to show you. Before heading off I must say I became a complete nerd and did my research on all the restaurants, bars and places we wanted to go. The wise thing to do I thought was to also ask a few friends who are, or have been locals for recommendations and The Girl and the Goat was a clear favourite for Chicago.

The menu was so interesting and we are definitely not afraid of trying new things, apart from snails which I don't think I could ever try but maybe I will surprise myself one day. You know me - mad about food that I was really hoping the restaurant would live up to the recommendations I had been given and read.

A Spot of Casual Sightseeing!

So when the New York trip came to an end I was a little sad but I was also excited to head off to Newark airport to board our plane for Chicago. We landed in Chicago and it has a completely different feel to it. We were both keen to head out and see what the windy city had to offer. We wandered around Chicago on our first day and it was noticeably colder than New York but still nice. Our hotel was just off Michigan Avenue and it was the perfect location. I knew I was in the right place when Louis Vuitton was on one corner  of our street and Chanel on the other.

It is definitely more common for bloggers to share more dressy outfits, but I do like a good casual outfit and think a white tee & jeans is a combination that will never go out of fashion. I am all for throwing on a pair of heels with this type out outfit too but with so much walking around checking out a city I had never been to, flats were a must!

Fun Day out in Central Park!

Happy hump day everyone - I am so happy that it is getting closer to the weekend. I have found that I need to drag myself out of bed this week and I am nearly getting dressed with my eyes closed, which is never a good thing! Jet lag, lack of sleep and days filled with activity have definitely caught up with me but it was well worth it. As we were only in New York for a few days we had a few things on the list that we wanted to do and one of them was go to Central park. We had organised a lunch in the boathouse and decided that we would take the boats out on the water and channel our inner Steve Redgrave. I must admit I didn't do a lot of the rowing but I did more than what Mr. expected although it took me a while to get the hang of it. As we looked around we couldn't help notice that all of the men were the ones exerting themselves while the ladies sat there enjoying themselves. We had to laugh!

NYC - A Rooftop View!

So it is Monday and it is back to reality. I landed yesterday evening and I feel like a zombie while writing this but I am dying to share some of my pictures from our trip. First stop New York! It was my first time visiting the East Coast as all my previous trips through the years were to the West Coast. It was a serious eye opener and I immediately fell in love. The buzz, the vibe, the charisma is infectious and I am already looking at when I can return. Our hotel was in a great location in Tribeca and had this gorgeous rooftop where we spent most of our mornings eating breakfast and taking in the breathtaking views of the city.

We were heading out for dinner to the Meatpacking district so I decided I would throw on my ripped jeans and take a few snaps with this amazing Manhattan backdrop.
