I am always looking to try new places and Pichet was one restaurant that has been around for a while but I hadn't had chance to try it for myself. It is a Bib Gourmand restaurant which is something I have been looking out for more and more over the last year or so. We headed there last week for a little date night, it was one of those weeks we had hardly seen each other and there is nothing I like better than a catch up with Mr and food! We started the evening off with a little cocktail. I had ordered the Pichet 75 which is a mix of gin and champagne but when the pink drink came out we decided to swap ;)!

As we met after work we were in time for the early bird and it is without a doubt one of the best value early birds in Dublin. I opted for a main course and desert as one desert in particular caught my eye. The buffalo mozzarella dish was like a healthy bruschetta dish without all of the bread.

Both main courses were delicious but I have to say the pork was top class.

When the desert arrived I was very happy with my choice of going with a main and desert. There were so many elements to it, the chocolate and buttermilk mousse, the olive oil biscuit and the pine nut and caramel crumble. It was clean plates all round which is always the best indicator of a good meal.

I love trying somewhere new and being excited by the menu and impressed by the food. The food was beautiful and I loved the interior decor of the restaurant itself. It is definitely worth a try, especially at €20 for the 2 course early bird, it is an absolute must.

Thanks for taking the time out of your day to look at my post, looking at these food pics has definitely made me hungry!

Love BB xx
