A Spot of Casual Sightseeing!

So when the New York trip came to an end I was a little sad but I was also excited to head off to Newark airport to board our plane for Chicago. We landed in Chicago and it has a completely different feel to it. We were both keen to head out and see what the windy city had to offer. We wandered around Chicago on our first day and it was noticeably colder than New York but still nice. Our hotel was just off Michigan Avenue and it was the perfect location. I knew I was in the right place when Louis Vuitton was on one corner  of our street and Chanel on the other.

It is definitely more common for bloggers to share more dressy outfits, but I do like a good casual outfit and think a white tee & jeans is a combination that will never go out of fashion. I am all for throwing on a pair of heels with this type out outfit too but with so much walking around checking out a city I had never been to, flats were a must!

One of my all time favourite movies My Best Friends Wedding was shot in Chicago and this is the church where the wedding took place. It is absolutely gorgeous and has a lovely little courtyard which is like a secret garden tucked away from the the hustle and bustle of the Magnificent Mile.

I had bought this scarf in Zara just before I left and I just love all of the colours in it. It was an absolute godsend in Chicago especially at night time. It is cosy but stylish.

I love these shoes - metallic is definitely on trend and they are my equivalent of the very popular Birkenstock. I Love the look of the Birks and used to have a pair when I was a kid but now I just don't think they suit me, so these Coach sandals were the perfect buy for our trip.
We headed to the Hancock Tower as we had been told it had the best view of the entire city and it was amazing. They have recently started this tourist activity called Tilt where you get to experience the thrilling downward facing views of the city from a mere 1,000 ft. It is not for the fainthearted and definitely not for someone who is afraid of heights but I loved it. Anyone going to Chicago definitely has to check it out.  360 Tilt - For you Thrill Seekers

Just to give you an idea of the height you Tilt from this is the view from the Observatory Tower in the Hancock Tower. You get such a great view of the City.
I hope you guys have a great day! Loads more posts to come from my trip next week, so keep any eye out for them!

Love BB xx
