Chicago by Boat!

Well it is Wednesday and it feels like it should be a Friday, I hate when your week is completely off like that. It is perhaps because I find myself wishing away each week for the weekend to arrive and time is flying by. How is it nearly October! I am dreaming of being back on holidays as the days get colder in Dublin and Winter gets nearer. The Architecture Boat Tour in Chicago is something I would definitely recommend, the day we went was a little on the chilly side and when I say that I thought my toes had turned to icicles but is the perfect way to see all of the architectural gems Chicago beholds. Before heading out on the boat we made sure to stock up on some good grub and we headed to the Little Goat Diner. It has that typical American Diner feel but with a modern twist.

We were recommended this dish of fried chicken on french toast topped with strawberries and maple syrup. Something I would never order and decided to try it and it was definitely way to sweet for that early in the morning.  I would be lying if I said I enjoyed it. But the Big Fat Club went down a treat and was big enough for the both of us to share, so don't worry we didn't leave hungry.

Seeing as we were going out on a boat it would be rude to not pick an outfit with a nod to nautical and what says nautical more than stripes. I am a huge fan of stripes all year round but navy and white is always a winning combo.

If you look closely you may be able to see my teeth chattering due to the cold and lack of a jacket. I didn't pack a coat for a trip to Chicago in September as I had been told the weather was still warm but once the wind changes the temperature can drop and that's what happened.

Have a fabulous day!
