Casual Plaid

Sometimes there are days that you want to be comfortable and not fuss over an outfit (Is that sacrilegious for a blogger to say?)

Pretty in Pink!

This is my last post from our weekend in London but I have already planned another trip, that's what happens when you go to London it always leaves you wanting more and I am so excited about going back for New Years. Bob Bob Ricard is a restaurant I had been meaning to try for I would say two years and eventually we tried it out.

You guys will have seen this pic on instagram if you follow me - if you aren't following me yet check me out on @bluntblonde

A Gem in Grosvenor Square

I am always on the hunt for good food and not at exorbitant prices and I found a fantastic deal in Gordon Ramsays Maze in Grosvenor Square. It was a warm Autumn Sunday and we were both starving after skipping breakfast (not something I would advise) and were excited about trying it out.

Chelsea Boots!

I had geared up for Autumn in London and we arrived to a heatwave, the coats go out the door as a sweater is suffice.I love this new little sweater I got, it is cosy but I especially love the little buttons on the back. I had spotted this before heading to new York but I was still feeling the Summer vibe and wasn't ready to let go, but now Autumn is here and in full force I decided it was going in my suitcase.

Lobster in London

I now what you are all thinking, Lobster - well that's not going to be a cheap meal, but Burger and Lobster offer amazing food and the bill is not that crazy. London is known for being expensive but Dublin is really not that far behind it. You have to forget about the currency exchange when you are there and just enjoy it!

London Day One!

A weekend in London is always something I love. Having lived there for just under a year after leaving University it gave me an opportunity to get to know London and I love going back as it is familiar but there is always so much to see and do. I made sure to get the early flight so that we got in just for time for brunch. After dropping off our bags we headed to the Wolseley to feast on eggs Benedict and have a good old catch up. It really is a British landmark in London for old school splendour, the interiors are breathtakingly gorgeous.

Sushi with Susie

Have you ever felt that you are not in the mood to cook, don't want to dress up, want to be in the comfort of your own home with your feet up but you don't want the the food to be complete and utter grease. (Although , I am one for the cheeky hungover Dominos if I am feeling particularly bad) Well I have the answer for you, Michie Sushi! My friend Susie and I were feeling in the mood for something healthy and decided we would try it out. It has been on my list for a while as I have heard only amazing things and no we didn't just try it so that Sushi rhymed with Susie, this just happened I promise!

The Fall Staple

Hi Everyone, sorry for being so late with putting up a post this week. It has been a bit crazy, but this weekend I am heading to London so I am seriously excited. In the mean time I wanted to share this post with you. There are a few fall staples but at the top of everyone's list is a hat.

You have got to be a Queen to get away with a hat like that.

They are the perfect accessory to add that little bit of drama to an outfit and can even help conceal a bad hair day. I feel that they really finish off an outfit and allow you have a little bit of fun with what you are wearing, it definitely is an injection of personality and style. One of my posts from last week even featured a hat! Check that post out here!

My most loved are the fedora because that's what I feel suits me best but my sister is more of a wide brim floppy hat lover so it really depends on what you feel best in.

Black on Black

Morning everyone! How are you all today? I am not going to lie, I am feeling a little worse for wear, we had a few too many G&Ts last night at a friends leaving drinks and as I am writing this the hangover headache is kicking in, slowly but surely. It is Friday and everyone has the weekend on their brain. I am sure all you ladies are thinking about your outfits for this weekends activities. I wanted to share this outfit with you that I wore for dinner last weekend. I absolutely love this jacket and it is one of my all time favourite pieces and it is one I will never part with. The detail is gorgeous and it is so different, my  Mum found it in Topshop and surprised me with it about three years ago and I still love it. It is hard to find pieces you don't tire of over time and when you have one, it really is a keeper.

Cream Coat

We headed off as early as we could on Friday and drove through what can only be described as a torrential storm, non stop rain for the entire journey. We eventually got there and on Saturday woke up to blue skies and some gorgeous flowers picked fresh from the garden.

Sunday Market Fun!

Morning everyone, how was your weekend? Mine was actually jam packed with things I love. I went down the country on Friday but was back up in time to meet the girls and head to the People's Park in Dunlaoghaire for the Sunday market. We were all feeling a little worse for wear so it was nice to get out and blow off the cobwebs and of course get some grub. We meandered around the stalls seeing what smelled and looked the best, there was so much choice we wanted to try a bit of everything!

A Spot of Wild Goose

It is Friday and I am excited to be heading away for the weekend but wanted to share this post with you first. We have all experienced saying goodbye to a friend, whether they were traveling around the world for a year or moving for a job and although it is so common in Ireland it doesn't get any easier saying goodbye. Yes, it is fantastic that we all have mobiles and we are not depending on a pigeon to deliver a letter but whatsapp and skype are not quite the same as hanging out in person. A good friend of mine got offered the job of her dreams and although I didn't want to see her leave I was so excited for her. Now that is the end of my sappy post and onto the food. The week before she left we decided to grab a lunch together and have a proper catch up. The Wild Goose in Ranelagh is somewhere I have been for lunch and was very impressed with it. It is not michelin star, but that's not what it's aiming to be, it is good bistro food with attentive service and friendly staff. We decided to kick off our lunch with a glass of bubbly, it always adds something special to an occasion and we were celebrating after all!

Leopard Lovers!

Morning all, how was your weekend? Mine was filled with sheer piggery, we went from one food activity to the next and tonight I will be hitting the gym to try and burn it off. We tried out a new place for brunch in Dublin which I will be sharing with you but first a little on my outfit. Autumn is a time I love, not as much as Summer but I do love the different patterns and warm tones that the Autumn season brings. One thing I love is leopard print, it's not everyone's cup of tea and was largely associated with Bet Lynch from Coronation Street and that is not a compliment! It can look cheap and far from chic, the key point to make is that it only ever looks good in moderation. In my opinion the only time an overload of leopard is allowed is for Halloween when you are dressing up as a lady of the night!!
