Fire is somewhere we went for our first date and we hadn't been back in 5 years so we decided to try it again last weekend. It is a fab location on Dublin's Dawson street and in a beautiful setting with the Mansion House in view. We started the night off with a few cocktails which went down a treat. Any cocktails with fresh raspberries and I am there with bells on.

My memory of the place was that the food was tasty so I was looking forward to dinner!

Trench Coat!

The trench coat is the perfect season transitional piece to have in your wardrobe. You can invest as much or as little as you want, there are some great options out there. I just wore it with jeans and this peasant top I picked up from Zara. When I wear a trench coat I always go for more of a classic look but this time around I wanted to mix boho with classic.

Ripped jeans, peasant tops and fringed boots are some of my favourite pieces for Spring.

Spring Blooms!

Sometimes I think I should have been alive in the 60s and lived as a hippy. The time when flower power was everything and Brigitte Bardots hair was amazing. What can I say flowers bring me happiness! So any time I see a cute little flower shop, I have to stop and have a browse. This is a casual outfit I wore over the weekend and I am just happy that the sun is out and we can nearly start to put some of our Winter clothes away.

This leather jacket is a great colour for Spring and goes with most outfits. I can't wait to start wearing it with some dresses as I have been living in jeans for the past few months.

Blue hydrangeas are a burst of colour and are some of my favourite flowers.

Lunch in Monkstown!

As you know I am an avid brunch fan but I am not one to turn down eating out so we headed for lunch instead. Last Saturday the sun was shining in Dublin and although I love the city I really love the suburbs and Monkstown is one of my favourite parts of Dublin. The village itself is so quaint and is the perfect place for a potter around. We headed to Avoca's Salt Cafe for a bit of grub.

As soon as you walk in there is a buzz, ladies nattering away over coffee and families enjoying some time out. You can't help but eye up the treats they have on offer before you have even taken your seat.

Peanut Bombs a.k.a Nutty Balls

I know I know, the title infers something here, but no they are just a healthy snack! I made these months ago and completely forgot to share them with you. I don't know what to call them except Nutty Balls but not sure that's the most appropriate name for them so we are going to call them Peanut Bombs. They are the perfect snack to have if you are craving something sweet but are trying to avoid treats and they are so easy and quick to whip up.

Chopped Almonds 1/2 cup
Agave Honey 1/4
Organic nutty peanut butter 1/4
Dark chocolate chips or shavings 1/3 cup
Cup of gluten free rolled oats 1/2 cup

Melt the peanut butter and honey in pan on low to medium heat, we want it to be broken down to a syrup type mix. Add in the oats, chopped almonds and chocolate chips. Stir with spatula for few minutes until is is all combined, making sure that it doesn't stick to the bottom of the pan. Leave to cool for 10 minutes and then mold into balls. These are best served cold so I placed them in the fridge for further cooling and hardening. Before serving I sprinkle with a small amount of dark chocolate for decoration.

The weekend has been a nice long one and of course we celebrated St.Patricks Day yesterday. Mine was jam packed with lots of eating and drinking in true Irish tradition.

Blue Shirt

I have been searching high and low for the perfect blue casual boyfriend shirt for a while, one that you can wear with jeans or throw over a bikini and I found this one from H&M and I love it.

Unfortunately the online shopping service for H&M  is not available to the Irish market, I am really unsure to why this is but in any case I have found some other blue shirts here and here

Healthy Pizza

As you know by now, I love my food but with the body type I have, it takes work to keep me in good shape and with Summer looming I am trying so desperately to behave myself. The problem with trying to be good means you are contsatntly thinking of ways to be bold! To help my cravings I am trying to make dishes which satisfy my urge, but don't have as bad of an impact on my body. Healthy pizza is a way of satisfying your Dominos craving and is tasty too.

Wholewheat wraps
Truffle oil (you can use normal olive oil but only a little bit)

Simply cover the wrap with the pasata, leaving a ring around the edge to form your crust. Place all of your toppings on the pizza, season well and place it into a hot oven at 180 degrees and cook for  7 - 10 minutes. Once crispy and the chesse is melted remove from the oven top with your fresh peppery rocket and drizzle with some truffle oil / olive oil.

Blush Leather

Like most of you, I imagine you are delighted with this warmer weather and the longer stretch in the evening. This is when the after work drinks start and heading out on a night out after a week in work becomes a lot more appealing. We no longer need to be dressed like we are on an excursion in the Antarctic! This is where an outfit that can go from day to night easily, comes in handy.

This outfit can be dressed down by throwing on some plimsolls or runners and a hoodie under the leather jacket. Then for night throw on a pair of high heels and you are ready to go.

Danielle Romeril Presentation - LFW 2015

Danielle Romeril is an Irish Fashion designer who debuted her Summer Collection in London Fashion week in 2013 and is highly respected and talented. I was lucky enough to attend her A/W 2015 presentation in London during fashion week. I have to say I love presentations, you get to be up close and personal with the items on show and really appreciate the details of the garments and get a feel for the designer.

I had to start with this outfit as it was my favourite, I need to get my hands on one of these scarves.

Sketch - Afternoon Tea

If you want to go somewhere seriously pink and an experience you wont forget, then Sketch Parlour for afternoon tea in London is to be placed on your bucket list immediately!

I had been to Sketch for dinner but never for Afternoon Tea. More often than not I am in London with my love so afternoon tea is not something I would be dragging him to (although there were a few couples there). I think afternoon tea is a girls only outing! It is all very civilized and a stark contrast to the night before. We all enjoy the cuteness of the bite size pieces and pretending we are uber ladylike with our fine bone china tea cups.

London Fashion Week

London Fashion Week has been one outing on my bucket list for quite a while and all I can say is I am now hooked. I am already thinking about outfits for when I go back in September. The excitement in the air as you enter Somerset House is something you cannot describe.
