A Seaside Gem!

I am a sucker for a seaside setting and this little gem in Marbella is definitely a spot for a romantic night out. You can hear the ocean as you dine and their are tiny little birds flying in and out.

The Puente Romano Hotel has some old world charm to it and the clientele are a classy bunch.

If I could transport the decor into my house I would. It had that Hamtpons feel, lush fabrics, hurricane candles, stripes everywhere and the odd boat dispensed from the ceiling (there was only two of these)

We sat at the bar sipping on our cocktails and taking in our surroundings before heading to our table. I had a mango blush but my partner in crime got a Pimms and god it really is the Summer drink. You could drink them all night!

We kicked off with a prawn cocktail, it was delicious and the presentation so pretty but not really that practical to eat out of a martini glass.

I had the duck and it was delicious, served with a creamy truffle mash and fennel.

The lamb on the bone is slow cooked and then carved up at the table which adds a little bit of theatre to the dining experience.

Although we were stuffed I couldn't resist trying the white chocolate brownie with dulce de leche poured over it. It was scrumptious.

We finished off the night with a few petit fours.

It is a place where you can definitely get dressed up, the style was fabulous. I must warn you it is a tad on the pricey side but we decided to splash out seeing as it was our last night.
