Taste of Dublin 2015

Although I am a serious foodie I had never been to Taste of Dublin, I know it really is a sin. For the last four years I have been away and missed it but made sure to stick around it for this time around. The sun was shining and there was a great buzz. I headed to the launch on Thursday so there was great excitement.

We headed to the Taittinger tent to kick the day off and listen to one of my favourite chefs Michel Roux being interviewed.


There is so much choice in Taste of Dublin from such a wide variety of restaurants. We went to one of our favourite restaurants to show support and we knew we were guaranteed a good meal. 

The Old Spot had an amazing Tuna Tartare dish and pork croquettes.

After a spot of grub we ventured over the the Speciality gins section and did a little bit of tasting. They weren't serving any of your normal stuff so it was nice to try some of the unusual gins.

Next up, we had some surf and turf. I have a weakness for anything with lobster (if I was asked what my last meal would be, it would have to be lobster) and this lobster roll was unbelievable.

What's nice about taste is you can just wander if you want. We never wanted to get stuck in one place as there is so much to see.

Teeling whiskey has really been getting itself out there and I loved the whole set up for their stand.

We sat in oversized chairs, tasted all types of gins, sipped on champagne and ate to our hearts content.

I will definitely be returning.
