New Hair!

Morning lovelies, I hope you all had a lovely Christmas with friends and family and have recovered from your food coma. I had a fun filled few days with family and my nephew who I am obsessed with. Before Christmas I wanted to go for a new hairstyle, I wanted something fresh and different to what I have had for the last while.

Home for the Holidays!

One of my favourite things to do over the holidays is get into my christmas pjs and snuggle up at home, I have a jam packed week of nights out with friends in the run up to the big day so when it comes to Christmas eve I am definitely a home bird. A cup of hot chocolate, a blazing fire and a Christmas movie is my idea of heaven. When I am in the apartment the candles have to substitute for a fire so as you can imagine there is A LOT of candles.
Simply obsessed with all things Christmas all my candles are festive scents.

Burgundy Frills!

I was on the hunt for the perfect Christmas backdrop in Dublin for this outfit and the Merrion Hotel ticked all of the boxes. It is such an exciting time to be at home with friends and family. It is so nice to see friends who are across the pond in London or further afield home for the festive season.
This evening I am having some of the girls to the apartment for nibbles and a few drinks which I cannot wait for.

Snap Happy!

Happy Hump Day everyone, I had such a fun weekend and I had Monday off which made it extra long. I shot a festive look with Brid which I will share at the end of the week but the best news is that we also welcomed a new addition to the family, my first nephew arrived on Friday so it was very exciting to eventually meet him.
We also had some Christmas drinks on Sunday which is an annual tradition at this stage and such a nice way to kick of the family festive season. My Fujifilm Instax was out in full force, it is such a great way to give each person a keepsake from the day or a gift for that snap happy person in your life. Fujifilm kindly sent it to me and I have to say its great fun and less formal than my own slr.
Mine will be coming out for all my girls nights out over the next two weeks.

You can shop yours here Fujifilm Instax and be sure to tag @Instaxhq

London Snapshots!

I only got back from London late on Wednesday and it was so fabulously festive over there, I was over with work but was able to meet friends in the evening which was so nice. I usually have everything planned down to a tee but this time was different, don't ask me why but didn't have too many plans so it was nice to just go with the flow. I thought I would share a few snapshots of my few days with you guys.

Balancing Blogging, Work & Life!

This is a post I have been meaning to do for so long and it is eventually time to share it with you. I started the blog two years ago, the reason it came about is that I wanted to create something for me that I could keep developing and exercise my creative bug. I was working in Advertising at the time and working on creative campaigns meant I got to deepen my love for all things creative but really where I found my passion was branding, creating logos, websites etc and so it led to me creating my own which is of course Blunt Blonde. There is no secret to juggling the blog and my "normal" job but just being able to switch on and off when necessary, the switching off is a little harder though I have to admit!

I have already started shopping, have you? I always like to take advantage of some good bargains and who doesn't? I have bundled together the bits I have had my eye on for a while and now can get them at discounted prices. It is a really good time to put a list together if you have a lot of family members or friends to buy for and save along the way, we all know December can be an expensive month so lets take advantage of the savings. I wanted to get a few key pieces and focus on items I will get the wear out of.

Lace & Check!

Happy Tuesday everyone, I had such a fun weekend and I have just about recovered! Friday night I was out celebrating my Birthday, I was quite absent on snapchat and Instagram and I think that was because I was just having so much fun and we went to the match on Saturday so it was jam packed. By the time it got to Sunday I just wanted to relax and thats what we did, I spent it with my family which was nice.

This is my last outfit post from Miami and I love these street style shots Danielle captured, the great thing about this outfit is that I will definitely be wearing it with tights and boots.

Sports Luxe!

We headed for brunch on Saturday and tried out Meet Me in the Morning - a local spot for us on Pleasant street and it has such a nice vibe for brunch. The temperature has dropped in Dublin so I wanted to be dressy but comfortable and I am obsessed with my new Nikes that I picked up in Miami so I went for a sports luxe look.

Khaki Krush!

This colour seems to be continuously catching my eye and this time round it was khaki overload when I colour blocked my shoes and my dress for this outfit. This is one of the looks I shot while I was in Miami, hence the bare legs, in case you are wondering!

Faux Fur Favourites!

It is well and truly time to pick up your festive pieces in time for silly season and all of the social soirees in the diary. There are so many trends at the minute which I am loving, such as velvet, military, shearling and todays post is on Faux Fur. Such a lux and fabulous piece that everyone should have in their wardrobe, it is one of those trends that can easily go wrong and you can be subject to a fashion faux pas! But, alternatively it can go oh so well and you can look only gorgeous!I picked my current favourites to share with you guys ranging in prices from low to high. I also included some accessories if you wanted a touch of faux fur.
I grabbed some outfit inspo for you guys (source Pinterest) to see how you can style your faux fur pieces this Winter.

Miami Travel Guide!

As I am writing this I am looking out into the cold, all wrapped up and thinking it is a far cry from the dreamy temperatures of Miami last week. I wanted to share some of the tips I have for Miami after spending 5 days there.
Place to Stay
I wanted to stay in South Beach and I would definitely recommend you do if your wallet can afford it. I stayed in the Nautilus a very nice hotel that backs onto the beach, Collins Avenue is the best spot for the hotels. I went on a mini tour of all of them as I love checking out hotels even if I am not staying there and some of my favourites were The 1 hotel and the edition, Faena is more like an art gallery with a whacky twist.

The Blazer!

I am always looking to add classic pieces to my wardrobe and it doesn't get more classic than a black blazer. I have so many blazers but didn't have a plain black one that I loved. The Balmain blazers caught my eye but their price tag was just a little out of my range and when I say a little I mean A LOT!
I tried getting my hands on one of their blazers when they collaborated with H&M but they were like hot cakes. The good news is I have found the perfect blazer and with such a cheap price tag it was hard to pass up! When I got it I was even more surprised on how expensive it looked, so really it was one of those great online buys.

Skincare Essentials for Long Haul Flights!

Hi Guys, sorry I have been MIA this week it has been a bit mental and as mentioned on Instagram earlier I am writing this post while in the airport and dealing with last minute things on my other job before I can eventually switch off for a few days.
I am flying to Miami and we all know those long flights can take a toll on your skin and no one wants to be starting off their holiday on a bad note, we are already going to have to deal with jetlag and that is not pretty so I have a few essentials I bring with me to help combat this.

Cosy Cardigan!

Well it is officially chilly in Dublin and time to layer up. This is such a casual Autumnal look that is perfect for heading for brunch or to a farmers market in. I wore this on Saturday when we woke up to horrific rain but the day actually turned out to be lovely so we headed for brunch and took a few pics.

My Top Coffee Spots in Dublin!

As you may know from following me on my social media accounts I am now living a lactose free life, trust me it has been difficult to go cold turkey over the last 7 weeks but I feel so much better after years of suffering with stomach problems, lack of energy and just not feeling myself that is making it all worthwhile. I have been doing a bit of a coffee tour with my brother over the last few weeks and all these places have an alternative to dairy on offer. I love just going for a coffee and a catch up and these are my current fave spots.

You can check them all out for yoursleves in the links above.

Happy Hump Day!

Posy Party - with Bloom & Wild!

When you come across something that you think is a great idea it is lovely to experience it in person. I have teamed up with Bloom & Wild to showcase their Flower Delivery Through the Letterbox service being launched in Ireland.

Since it is October I wanted to show you guys the Posy Party, it is a mix of Autumnal / Fall stems that are perfectly paired but have a boho wilderness feel to them which is right up my alley. What I really loved is that they came with the little posy bottles and twine so you can make them up yourself with whatever combination you like.

Embroidered Shirt!

Well if you haven't picked up on the embroidery and floral trend you have been living under a rock. It has been absolutely everywhere and was especially visible at any of the A/W press days I attended.
I have to say, I love it, it is such a nice way of bringing colour to an otherwise black outfit and we all know that black is a go to and I think this detail makes it a little more fun and interesting.

Breakfast in Rachels!

Happy Monday lovelies! It is October already and I am already lusting after some sunshine again although Sunday was a pretty fab day here in Dublin.
We wanted to try and stay healthy while we were away and as breakfast is the most important meal of the day we started it off right. Heading to Rachels Organic in the Puente Romano for fresh fruit and acai bowls and a change of scenery was the perfect scenario. Walking down to find it you meander through the leafy palm tress, with the turquoise shimmer of the pools peaking through.

Blue & White Stripes!

Morning all, well thank god it is Friday, I am so happy the weekend is finally here. I have a new outfit post to share with you guys from Spain. I will be the first to admit that stripes play a big part in my wardrobe across all seasons, they are just so classic and I will never tire of them.  You should see my wardrobe, stacks of stripey jumpers!
These types of dresses I am obsessed with and they are so easy to wear on holidays. I feel like they are quite effortless and you can look put together but in a very short time. What I like is that they can be dressed up or down and you know I am all about that.

Pink OTS!

With Spain being as hot as it was last week I was delighted to get some wear out of some Summer pieces. Of course when I saw the wall in the same pink I just had to shoot the look there.
How I wish I was back in the hotter weather now but instead I have been stricken with a cold.

Breakfast in Marbella!

Morning everyone, we landed back in Dublin last night and oh my god it is chilly I picked up a cold of some sort on our way over which was annoying but we still had a good time, today I am at home just catching up on things and trying to shake this cold / flu before going back to work tomorrow.
I had never been to Spain at this time of year before and it was still roasting. We were pleasantly surprised and lapping it up.
I had heard of Celicioso and wanted to try it out. When we were done with our workout we headed for a feast. Celicioso is primarily a gluten free bakery but it is ├╝ber healthy and serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. I am not gluten intolerant just dairy which I am still getting the hang of.

Bell Sleeves & Metallic Heels!

One thing I seem to be developing a love for is anything with bell sleeves, I think they can add so much even to a casual top and I am delighted they are in most high street stores. I shot this look last week with Brid, it had been ages since we shot a look and always love the posts we work on.
I know it is that time of year when I should be focusing on more Autumn / Winter looks but I just couldn't leave this top behind. I have started looking at my Winter wardrobe but with a sun holiday coming up I am still hanging onto Summer for dear life.
