The Davenport Afternoon Tea!

It seems to be an experience on repeat but what can I say I love afternoon tea and I just cant say no. You are probably thinking does this girl do anything else and the answer is yes - although it doesn't look like it. For the sake of my waistline I am going to have to abstain or else I think I may become an Afternoon Tea specialist as I am getting to experience it in quite a few places both here and abroad.
Since Mothers Day is just around the corner I had to include a post as I think it is the perfect thing to do with your Mum.

Danielle Romeril AW16 Presentation LFW

Happy Sunday everyone, this time last week I was getting ready to attend the Danielle Romeril AW 16 Presentation in London so I thought it was fitting to share this post today. Danielle is an Irish designer who was brought to the forefront when she was awarded NEWGEN sponsorship by the British Fashion Council and supported by Topshop for both AW14 and SS15. I attended Danielles AW15 presentation last year, you can find that here and absolutely loved her pieces so I was very excited to see what AW16 would bring.

Khaki Lace Ups!

Hi everyone how have you all been? Today I am sharing one of my outfits from London with you guys. As you will have seen if you follow me on Instagram @BluntBlondeBlog or Snapchat @kevadoyle I was over for LFW which was so much fun. It was so cold over there so it was all about layering. This aztec jacket was the perfect addition to the wardrobe.

Afternoon Tea at the Hamyard Hotel

Yes my Afternoon Tea obsession is continuing and this time we went to The Hamyard Hotel in London. I had been to the hotel before for a drink and a gander when it first opened and I love it just as much today. It is located just of Picadilly Circus but it is hidden away from the hustle and bustle and mounds of tourists. The interior is divine - you will have seen some of it on my snapchat as I shared it with you guys on Monday. If I could take the library home I would.
We went for the classic afternoon tea with an assortment of savoury and sweet options, paired with fresh mint tea.

Story Coffee - London

Every time I am in London I love wandering and finding new places, particularly coffee shops and this one in Clapham Junction ticked all of the boxes. Story is located on the corner of the main street and is always busy but I visited just before it closed when it was strangely quiet and got some lovely pictures.

We went for an afternoon pick me up that was badly needed, I think we were in a food coma as we couldn't stop yawning #grannies They do serve brunch and I have been told it is delicious.

Grey & White Stripe Shirt

For me a shirt is a classic wardrobe piece and it will never go out of fashion. A pair of jeans and a button up is a combo you will see me wear quite often. There is something about a shirt even one under a jumper that just gives finesse to an outfit. Most of my shirts are from H&M, I love their colours and I know what size and style fits, plus they are extremely affordable.
I had my eye on this grey and white one one as I had pictured it with a pair of white jeans or white culottes for the Spring / Summer season but for the moment I knew I could wear it with denims.
Worn with a pair of ripped jeans and my blue suede courts it is a casual look one which you could easily throw a pair of converse on with if you didn't want to wear heels.

St.Valentine!

It is that time of year again, where you will see men rushing around trying to pick up flowers, girls trying to figure out what to wear and all in aid of Saint Valentine. None of us really know anything about who the day is named after but the majority will do something to mark it. Whether thats all the single ladies getting together and going on a night out (some drowning their sorrows), the married couples getting to enjoy some time to themselves or else the couples who will just treat it like any other day.

Ladurèe Breakfast

I have a slight obsession with Macaroons and when I heard a stand along Laduree was opening in Dublin I was giddy with excitement. This is only a short post as we only popped in for some breakfast but I will be visiting again soon and doing a full afternoon tea post to share with you guys.
We opted for the Avocado and Eggs - it was delicious and I loved the presentation. The coffee and hot chocolate are sinfully good.

Plaid Shirt

Morning everyone - how was your weekend? My weekend consisted of a lot of eating so I will have to work hard in the gym this week. Sigh! We went to see Ireland play Wales yesterday, I forgot how much I loved going to the rugby matches. The atmosphere is great and it is always good fun. We headed to Paulies pizza after the match for pizza and cocktails, as I said it was a weekend of wall to wall food.

I took these shots a while ago and forgot about them and with the weather being so wet over the last while it has been so hard to get outfit posts.

Afternoon Tea in the Westbury

Afternoon tea is an outing that I will never turn down. It is definitely one of my favourite things to do especially on a Saturday. We tried out The Westbury Hotel for the first time and it didn't disappoint. Situated just off Grafton Street in Dublin it is excellently located and there is a lovely feeling to the hotel as soon as you enter albeit the entrance is a little underwhelming. Once you take the stairs you can expect to be impressed.
Who can say no to gorgeous crockery, tiny sandwiches and and afternoon of eating and chatting.I especially loved the crockery the blue stripe is classic and exactly what I would pick for my own home. Plus the silverware was so elegant and regal.

The Fumbally For Dinner!

I love seeing a business grow from strength to strength and the The Fumbally has done just that. We have been going for years and now it is a firm brunch favourite for people who travel far and wide for the food. The good news is they have started doing a mid week dinner menu, only available on Wednesdays.
There is one dish on the menu for a main with a vegetarian option also available and one desert. Simple is best as they say and once it's full of taste how you can argue. We each had a tipple, I tried the red house wine and he tried an Irish cider. We started with a nibble of beetroot with dandelion pesto which was delicious.
