Dubai Duty Free Irish Derby!

Morning everyone, I cant believe how quick the weekend went but our Sunday was spent by the fire and filled with food, exactly how a hungover Sunday should be spent. The Dubai Duty Free Irish Derby took place over the weekend,  it is definitely one of the best days racing and it has become quite a tradition that we go each year. It is a great excuse for getting glammed up.

A big group of us go and usually start the day early, this year a friend of mine was throwing a charity boot party in aid of Irish Injured jockeys association which was a nice way to start the day.

Neutral Tones!

Hallelujah it is Friday, it has been a long week and I am looking forward to the weekend. We are going to the races on Saturday so I am praying this rain stops so we can enjoy the Derby. I shot this look last week and this outfit is one I will definitely be wearing again. The combination of white jeans and beige tones is something I have always been a fan of, it's one of my colour combo weaknesses.

Breakfast Granola Bars!

It has been a while since I have added a recipe to the blog and I am a divil for skipping breakfast so I wanted something I could grab and go in the morning or have as a snack in the afternoon and I am not a fan of any breakfast bars from the shop as they are usually laced with sugar. I know so many people who leave the house and don't have anything until mid morning which is so bad for your metabolism. These breakfast granola bars are so easy and be eaten on the go.

Shades of Blue!

So my love affair with blue and white is as strong as ever and this time it is in dress form. Most of us save the white dress for our last night on holidays. This is usually when we are feeling like bronzed goddesses not necessarily looking like one!
I had picked up this dress in Zara before I left and I thought it was a good day time piece but I added a glam necklace, a matching bag and a pair of heels and it worked for a casual holiday evening look.

A Feast by The Sea in Greece!

Although staying in a resort is a gorgeous treat there is nothing like getting ensconced in the local town with the local people. We made our way to Marathpoli a small town that had been recommended to us by our lovely taxi man Dimitri.
They were known for fresh seafood and the setting was right on the water. We had our pick of the restuarants, all family run ad competing with similar menus. We opted for Panorama on our first night and the Seafood Tavern thereafter.

Stripes by the Sea!

Yes the stripes are back and I wont make any apologies for it, I am a die hard fan of them now and of course it is an off the shoulder top. This trend is one I hope never goes and if it does I will still be wearing them, trend schmend once you love something I think just wear it.
An OTS top is so flattering unless you are extremely busty, I don't have that problem!!!! But then again I am yet to see someone that they don't look good on.
This is the type of outfit I would wear daily on holidays, it is comfy and chic, one of my favourite proverbs!

My Blogging Space!

Morning lovelies, how was your weekend? I am sitting at my desk trying to get a bit of blog work done before the week starts all over again. I currently have a face mask on which has a tiger face on it (bizarre I know!) but I am hoping it makes my skin beautiful for the week. I have been blogging for nearly two years now and I seem to have the balance between my day job and blogging down to a tee although it is always busy I love it. Until recently I didn't have a designated space to work from, I was blogging from the couch, the bed, basically anywhere that had wifi and I decided it was time to create a "blogging" space.
Now this space is not much at the minute as I have much more planned but it is definitely a start.I think for blogging you really need a space to do it from or at least I feel it helps me. We had a desk in our room that became a bit of a dumping ground and I wanted to change that.
I cleaned it up and wanted to keep it quite simple and not too cluttered so that it was a prettier place to work from with a few simple steps.  1. Flowers I usually try to have flowers on my desk preferably fresh ones but these pink peonies from Avoca are pretty handy. They add a bit of colour to the desk and cheer me up, plus you all know from my Instagram I have a weakness when it comes to flowers.

Floral Maxi!

As soon as I spotted this little number I had to get my hands on it, I had seen it online but putting it on in the shop I just loved it. The colour and print is so different to everything else I have been wearing this Summer so it is a bit of a departure from the blue, white and navy I have been sticking to.
I like adding a touch of colour sometimes to an outfit and I went out all with this amazing apricot lipstick from Flormar. It is not for the faint hearted but with a tan it is lovely.
Each evening we sat sipping on a cocktail or rosé before dinner watching the sun go down.

Pink Shirt!

Morning lovelies, we arrived back from Greece last night and landing in Dublin airport we were pleasantly surprised how warm it is, I thought the streak of good weather would be well and truly over but luckily it is to continue.
I have loads of posts to share and this is one of my favourite outfits from the holiday.

Travel Tips for Cannes!

Hump day is here and I am even more excited about it than usual as it is my Friday woop woop! I wanted to do a quick tip post for Cannes to share with you guys as a few people have been asking. This was my first time in Cannes and I fell in love. It epitomises chic and it was even more of an experience as the Film Festival was on.
Flying & Transport
The flight time is really short from Dublin to Nice, you can get the bus down to Cannes from there but if there is 4 of you or more there is nothing like getting an airport pick up. It really saves the stress of lugging bags around in the heat and I think it makes a difference to your arrival and departure. Make sure to book this in advance and as you arrive they will be there ready and waiting. Getting around Cannes itself is very easy, we walked everywhere and it definitely is the best way to take in the sites and get familiar with the place.
