A Feast by The Sea in Greece!

Although staying in a resort is a gorgeous treat there is nothing like getting ensconced in the local town with the local people. We made our way to Marathpoli a small town that had been recommended to us by our lovely taxi man Dimitri.
They were known for fresh seafood and the setting was right on the water. We had our pick of the restuarants, all family run ad competing with similar menus. We opted for Panorama on our first night and the Seafood Tavern thereafter.

We arrived to a warm welcome taking in the breathtaking surroundings, when we were quickly asked to go somewhere with the waiter. Not quite sure what to expect we followed him across the rocks where he proceeded to pull a rope until a lobster pot was revealed, there is your dinner he says!
Now when I say this lobster was massive it weighed nearly 3 kilos and there was enough to feed the four of us. We decided to take him up on his offer, I am sure he saw us coming being tourists and all of that but it was such a nice experience and a memory I will always love.

We tucked into calamari and greek salad to start until the lobster arrived on a bed of homemade pasta.
You cannot beat simple fresh food and the setting was divine. The town was small but we found a nice little cocktail bar for a night cap or two to finish off the night.

Have a lovely weekend.

Love Keva xx
