There has been some amount of hype over 3FE over the last while, if you havent heard of it you may have been living under a rock. The coffee experts love it and it is the coffee used in so many other outlets and not just their own. Although I'd had a coffee a few times I hadn't eaten there since it first opened a few years back and the menu is a far cry from what it used to be. I had taken these pics a while back and completely forgot to post them.
We headed down on a sunny Sunday morning to Grand Canal Street and tucked into some yummy breakfast.

The coffee is expensive but if it is one of the first stops tourists make after landing in Dublin Airport it must be good, right? At least thats what I have been told. I am no coffee connoisseur but it was tasty.
I went for the mushrooms on toast, one of my favourite dishes and if there is a sniff of truffle oil, I am sold! The dish C went for was a mexican style beans in tacos dish.
It has a nice buzzy atmosphere and you can see people stopping by on their morning dog walks to grab and go and then the ones who are looking for a more leisurely morning, reading their papers and grubbing up.
They have recently opened a second cafe on Sussex Avenue but when I visited they were only serving coffees, I am hoping that changes and the food is the same as grand Canal.
We resisted any goodies on our departure but maybe we will have to try next time...

Love Keva xx
