My Breakfast on the Go!

I wouldn't say I am a morning person and like most, I will grab a few more minutes in bed rather than having a lesiurely breakfast before heading to work. These types of breakfasts are reserved for the weekend when it's how I usually like to spend my relaxing Saturday and Sunday. So how do I get that important meal of the day into my routine. My walk to work means I pass a lot of places with a good bit of choice but since having to live a dairy free life and realising what I was spending on my little morning pit stops I needed to come up with an alternative. I started making my own coffee (with Almond milk) and breakfast to go, I did get a Nespresso at the end of last year after all so I might as well make use of it.My smoothie is so simple and it is a throw it all in at once type of recipe.

1 x Banana

Teaspoon Cinnamon
4 xPitted Medjool Dates
1 cup Almond Milk
Ice (I like mine served cold)
1 tbp Oats (optional)
You can add a scoop of vanilla protein (optional)
Throw it all into the Nutribullet and use a nice glass bottle for serving - I usually hold onto any juice bottles we have during the weekend so I can use them during the week. It makes getting it to work much easier and it also looks more appetizing. This is a full proof start to the day and if you have been to the gym you could add a scoop of vanilla protein.
