A Trip to Cambridge

On Friday we got the redeye into Stansted for a much needed night away in Cambridge. I was so excited to try out the hotel we were staying in and see what Cambridge has to offer.  I had heard so many things and it didn't disappoint. Cambridge itself is a very relaxed city, it has the old quirkiness you would expect and the heritage is mind boggling.

You will have seen the hotels interiors on my Insta Stories were a bloggers dream - check out the website here for The Tamburlaine Hotel. We sipped on cocktails on Friday evening in the hotel bar, where I experience tastes I had never had before. I truly got the art of a mixology that night with all of the different flavours packed into one drink although I did try 4 of them :)

After dinner we strolled up to the library area for a night cap until we slipped into bed and had one of the best sleeps I have had in months. No lie, I slept for 10 hours!!!

Saturday morning we had a leisurely breakfast and made our way to the River Cam to try out Punting. This was one of the highest things on my hit list for our trip and it was an incredible experience. It really is the only way to see and understand the history of the University of Cambridge and all of the different faculties within it. Also, next time I will be booking it in advance as you can get a picnic onboard - the absolute dream.

Strolling through the gorgeous streets on our way back to the hotel before we packed up and grabbed some tea in the Garden Room - If I could take these interiors and inject them into my home I would.

As a city break it is not your usual trip as it is buzzy but in a relaxed way, but I think for a relaxing night away it is the perfect option.

Have a great week.

Love Keva x
